The Rock 'n' Soul museum is located at 191 Beale Street on the corner of the famous Highway 61 in downtown Memphis TN, at the FedEx Sports and Entertainment complex. The museum offers a comprehensive Memphis music experience from the rural field hollers and sharecroppers of the 1930’s through the explosion of Sun Studio, Stax and Hi Records.
The museum’s digital tour guide (like the one at Graceland) is packed with over 3 hours of songs, pictures and information that takes visitors at their own pace through seven galleries featuring 3 audio visual programs, more than 30 costumes, 40 instruments and other musical treasures.
The Museum is Educational For Children & Adults
The museum and gift shop is open from 10 am till 7 pm daily and admission is 10.00 for adults and 7.00 for children age 5-17 years old. Shelby, Tennessee residents are offered free admission every Tuesday from 2 pm until 7 pm. The history of the Rock and Soul Museum was born in April 29 2000 and has welcomed over 200,000 visitors to this sightseeing attraction from all over the world.
